Lamest social media effort ever

Social media can be a powerful marketing tool, because it builds credibility when real people discuss your product in a positive manner.

It doesn’t work when marketers create “real people” who are obviously fake.

    Agreed that is blatantly not a real blog. However when done right this approach can yield some impressive results.

    I don’t think there is anything wrong with opening up blogs or other tools to promote your company. Being transparent and honest about who you are is important though. Opening up external blogs and contributing to the community your business serves is a great way to build trust and establish an authoritative voice on the subject.

    However, pretending to be a someone you aren’t is dishonest and makes you look shady.
